Project: Design/Build of Basrah Children's Hospital - Phase I & II, Iraq Client : Phase I: Bechtel International Systems Phase II: Department of the U.S Army, GRD (Gulf Region Division) Starting Date : Phase I: 01/10/2004 Phase II: 01/10/2006 Completion Date : Phase I: 01/09/2006 Phase II: under construction Project Value : Phase I: US $ 18,900,000 Phase II: US $ 37,700,000   The works included: Design and build a medical facility to provide quality infant and children’s care for Basrah and the surrounding area.  The hospital will include:         · 50 inpatient beds   · 50 emergency/outpatient treatment rooms   · Women’s and infant’s intensive care units   · Surgical facilities   · Laboratories   · Diagnostic and radiology facilities   · Nurse/midwife training facilities   · Ancillary facilities – including standby power plant, laundry, food service,     storage, student housing, etc.

Project: Pediatric Hospital and Emergency Department Tender at King Hussein Medical City, Jordan

The project built-up area is of 27,000m² approx. designed over 5 floors as follows:

·   Basement or Garden Level comprising Emergency Entrance, Kitchen,

    Laundry and Electro-mechanical services.

·   The Ground floor comprising Hospital main Entrance Lobbies, Cafeteria,

    Administration, Day hospital & Surgical suite.

·   First, Second floor levels including inpatients units and outpatients clinics

·   Third floor comprising inpatients units as well as intensive care unit (ICU)

·   Fourth floor reserved for electro-mechanical services.

The elevations are a marriage of local stone/metal cladding and curtain

walling which blends with the existing KHMC Hospital settings.
