The works included:
Design and build a medical
facility to provide quality infant and children’s care
for Basrah and the
surrounding area. The hospital will include:
1.Construction of dual carriageway with 2 x 3.65 m
travel lanes in each direction plus 3.0 m shoulders plus
0.50m verge and a central median of 4.5m wide with
new jerseys barrier. The total roadway
width is 26.10m with minimum right of way of 80m.
Climbing lanes are added where applicable and the road
length is 8.5km.
2. Construction
of Overpass 9 – 80m long bridge and post tensioned.
3.
Construction of Overpass 10 & 11, each with a length of
75m and post tensioned.
4.
Construction of Zarqa Eastern Bypass Interchange with
Overpass 5 which is 80m long and dual deck.
5.
Relocation, realignment and diversion of existing
utilities.
6.
Construction of approximately ten (10) km of service
roads.
7.
Construction of Viaduct #2, a box girder structure and
300m long
8.
Construction of 1no Underpass and various reinforced
box culverts
9. Traffic
control devices, Traffic signing, Traffic Marking, and
Traffic Safety Installation
10. Telecommunication
civil works
11. Street
lighting
12. Drainage
works including culverts, dykes, slope protection and
ditches
