Estimation Engineer- Electrical

The Estimation Engineer will be part of the tendering and estimation team and is expected to participate in preparing tender pricing and costing. In addition to participating in preparation the technical and financial proposals.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Preparing tender prices by studying the Tender’s Conditions, Drawings Specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • Analyzing and compiling data on construction factors, such as labor, materials, special machinery requirements, and site conditions.
  • Preparing a cost summary for the entire project.
  • Developing precise and clear cost estimates based on project data and communicating those estimates with engineers and concerned staff.
  • Maintaining a construction cost database for projects.
  • Monitoring and storing costs through the use of computers to improve the accuracy of future estimations this is sometimes integrated with quantity surveying activities.
  • Issue Request for Quotations for the major materials, services and subcontract items, collect offers and establish a technical and commercial comparisons.

  • Knowledge in construction cost estimation
  • Knowledge in quantity take-off & Methods of Measurement
  • Knowledge in Value Engineering principles
  • Knowledge of international and local construction specifications and standards
  • Knowledge of materials' prices in domestic & international narkets

 

Education  and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-6 years experience in construction const estimation role.
